The Student Parliament (StuPa): At the beginning of the year – on February 12, 2020, to be precise – the 46th Student Parliament of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences began its work with its constituent session. The student parliament is the highest decision-making body of all enrolled students at our university and therefore also of you. It consists of 25 members of parliament who are volunteers alongside their studies and are elected annually by all students. The StuPa is a place of intensive debates on higher education policy issues, student concerns and financial proposals that are democratically voted on. In addition, the student parliament elects the executive committee of the General Students’ Committee (AStA) at its constituting meeting, advises and approves the budget and convenes other committees, such as the Hardship Committee. It also elects a Presidium from among the parliamentarians, which is responsible for ensuring that meetings are properly prepared, conducted and followed upon. In addition, the Presidium ensures that the Parliament fulfills the tasks to which it has committed itself in the statutes and represents it externally vis-à-vis the university. We meet in the Winter semester 2020-21 on 18th November, 16th December, 13th January 2021, and 10th February 2021 for the public university sessions, which usually take place in building 4, room 111/112 (or Online). If you, too, would like to play an active role in shaping the university or simply want to find out about our work – you are always welcome!
We look forward to seeing you.
